Palm Sunday Northampton – Join us in our medieval round church, rich in history and faith, offers a unique and sacred space for worship.  Sunday is a deeply significant event in the Christian calendar, celebrated one week before Easter Day. It commemorates the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, an event recorded in all four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. As Jesus entered the city, riding humbly on a donkey, the gathered crowds joyously waved palm branches and shouted, “Hosanna!” This act marked the beginning of Holy Week and signaled the unfolding of the Passion narrative.

During the Eucharist Service, we will reflect on the story of Palm Sunday through prayer, scripture, and hymn singing, led by our dedicated clergy and choir. Worshippers will receive blessed palm crosses as a symbolic reminder of Christ’s journey and sacrifice. Following the service, we invite you to join us for fellowship with tea, coffee, and freshly baked Hot Cross Buns. This time together allows for conversation, connection, and sharing stories while enjoying refreshments in a welcoming environment.
