Palm Sunday Bradford – At the beginning of Holy Week. Liturgy of Palm Sunday will include the grand annual procession of palms, reverent choral music sung by the Cathedral Choir, and the solemn celebration of Holy Communion. Later in the afternoon

The Cross of Christ: A Choral Meditation for Passiontide will present a moving reflection on Christ’s Passion through scripture, hymns, and choral masterpieces. This service will include selections from Handel’s Messiah, such as Surely He Hath Borne Our Griefs, And With His Stripes, and For We Like Sheep. Britten’s For I Am Under the Same Accusation from Rejoice in the Lamb, Sanders’ The Reproaches, Clucas’ Crucifixus, and Stainer’s God So Loved the World from The Crucifixion will also be performed.

Hymns for this meditation service will include 100, Stay With Me (Taizé), 120, 557 (t.i.), and 112, creating an atmosphere of deep reflection and reverence. Through these liturgies, the congregation will enter into the solemn journey of Holy Week, preparing their hearts for the mysteries of Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection.
