Easter Northampton Services & Lent – Northampton UMC

Good Friday Northampton – Ash Wednesday – February 22nd. 9am-3pm and 6pm-8pm. The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday. Instead of a sermon, this year our worship service will be centered around six prayer stations set up around the Sanctuary to help us prepare our hearts. This will be a time of contemplation and prayer and an opportunity to be still in the presence of God. At the final station, the imposition of ashes will take place. You are encouraged to come when you can give yourself the time to move at your own pace through the stations. The church will be open 9am-3pm and 6pm-8pm.

A church service

The church service is the gathering of Christians to be taught the “Word of God” and encouraged in their faith.
