Good Friday Family Newcastle – Celebrate Easter with Newcastle Cathedral’s fun-filled Messy Church event, perfect for families. Children aged 4 to 11 years can enjoy stories, crafts, songs and joyful learning. This special Good Friday session is completely free and designed to welcome children and their families into Easter’s message. You’ll hear engaging Easter stories that are age-appropriate, interactive, and meaningful for young children to enjoy.

There will be plenty of hands-on craft activities for children to express creativity while exploring the Easter message. Through songs and storytelling, families with members from Newcastle will connect with the story of Jesus in a fun, accessible way.
No booking is required, but we kindly ask families from Newcastle to register through TicketSource to help us prepare.
Booking helps us ensure there are enough supplies and space for every participating child and accompanying adult. All materials are provided, and there will be volunteers on hand to guide and assist with each activity.

The international Messy Church movement, supported by The Bible Reading Fellowship (BRF). Messy Church brings families together to explore faith through creativity, hospitality and joyful community-based worship experiences.
The event is proudly hosted by Newcastle Cathedral, located in the heart of the city centre. It’s the ideal Good Friday family celebration in Newcastle.
