Holy Saturday –  8.00pm Easter Virgil with confirmation.

Easter Saturday Peterborough – Peterborough Cathedral will host a series of Easter services beginning with the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday at 8:00 pm, including a special confirmation ceremony. This traditional service welcomes the Easter season with candlelight and reverence, marking the transition from darkness to light in celebration of Christ’s resurrection.

On Easter Sunday, April 9th

Services will commence with Holy Communion at 8:00 am, followed by Matins at 9:15 am. At 9:30 am, an online service, pre-recorded for those unable to attend in person, will be available on the Cathedral’s Facebook and YouTube channels, allowing the congregation to join remotely at any time. The principal service of the day, the Cathedral Eucharist, will take place at 10:30 am and will also be live-streamed on Facebook for those wishing to watch from home. This Eucharist service brings together the Cathedral community in worship, prayer, and thanksgiving for Easter.

Concluding the day, a Festal Evensong with Procession will be held at 3:30 pm. This evening service offers a reflective and joyous end to the Easter celebrations, combining scripture readings, choir-led music, and the symbolic act of procession. All are welcome to attend the services in person or participate online for a meaningful Easter experience at Peterborough Cathedral.
